Andrea Mares is a Board Assistant for Riverside County Third District Supervisor Chuck Washington. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside. She also holds a Masters degree in Public Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining the Third District Team, she served as a WRCOG (Western Riverside Council of Governments) Fellow for the City of Banning's Community Development Department and interned for the California State Association of Counties in Sacramento.
Her areas of responsibility include the Public Safety Portfolio (law enforcement agencies, fire, courts, emergency management), Economic Development, Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, Murrieta-Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, and Hemet-San Jacinto Chamber of Commerce.
