Third District Office Seeks Paid Intern

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors' Third District Office is seeking a professional student intern.

The selected candidate will serve as the Youth Advisory Council Coordinator for the Third District Supervisor and be tasked with duties such as mentoring high school aged youth as well as coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) program within their district.

The most qualified candidates must possess excellent time management and organizational skills as well as professionalism and the ability to set boundaries. Candidates who have experience working with youth are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Minimum qualifications include:

- Cumulative Grade Point Average: A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application.

- Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled and attending school at an accredited college or university. Applications must be in a Bachelor's program during the entire duration of the internship. All recent college graduates are eligible to intern for up to one year (twelve months) from their graduation date. Graduation date is not to exceed twelve month maximum during the duration of the internship.

- Areas of Study: Public/Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Arts, Humanities, or similar;

- Experience, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience with the full Microsoft Office Suite; experience leading and managing youth; and ability to plan and organize events.


The Board of Supervisors Professional Student Intern opportunity has a flexible work week and requires a two year commitment limited to 1,000 hours per year. This position pays $14 per hour.
